Terms
and Conditions for South America Cruise
These terms and conditions apply to all Galapagos Islands programs. Any client who books a tour with Sunny Land Tours will be subject to the following terms and conditions, and a payment for Ecuador, Galapagos Islands, including multi country combinations shall constitute a client's or his/ her travel agent's absolute consent to all provisions listed herewith:
Reservations and Payments: A non-refundable $300 per person deposit is required at time of booking. Final payment is due 90 days prior to departure. In certain cases additional non-refundable deposits may be required to meet airlines' ticketing deadlines. For bookings during Christmas and New Year periods non-refundable full payment required at the time of booking.
Air Transportation: Round trip flights by Delta, TAM,
LanChile, or any IATA airline, which cannot be held responsible for any act, omission, or event during the time passengers are not on board their aircraft. In some cases additional funds may be required to protect your booking if there are any ticket issuing deadlines imposed by the airlines. Tickets are non-refundable once issued. Luggage at client's risk unless insured.
Documentation: A valid passport is required of U.S. citizens for travel. If a visa is required, obtaining proper visa in a timely manner is the traveler's responsibility.
Cancellation: Cancellation within 90 days of departure date will be subject to a minimum of 50% of tour cost. No refunds can be given for cancellation within 30 days of departure date. Unused tour features are neither refundable nor exchangeable once the tour is in progress. Trip Interruption and Travel
Insurance is available and highly recommended.
Transfers and Sightseeing: A complete program is offered throughout each tour as shown within the itineraries. Entrance fees to places of interest as well as lunches on full day outings where specified are included in the tour cost.
Tour guides: The services of competent local guides and hosts are provided on all tours.
Tipping: All gratuities and handling charges to hotel staff, porters, chambermaids and waiters are included. Tipping on board cruise ships is not included. Tipping to guides and drivers is left at passenger's discretion, but strongly recommended.
Not included: Tour prices do not include items not specified above: passports, meals not included in tour, airport and Port taxes, Galapagos National Park Fee, tips, laundry, mineral water, excess baggage, and items of purely personal nature.
Refunds: Since all tours are on the basis of inclusive arrangements, no refund can be considered or given for any absence from the tour or any unused services or meals, once the tour has commenced and is en route unless special arrangements have been made at time of booking. Any and all claims for refund are to be made only to the booking office, as no agents, representatives, guides, or any other persons, are authorized to make or promise to make any change or alteration of the official conditions and regulations. No claim can be considered if not made within 60 days from
completion of tour. No claim can be considered if it is not accompanied by a completed service adjustment coupon or written authorization from our overseas representatives, and/or hotels.
Alteration: Sunny Land Tours reserves the right to cancel or alter the content of a tour should conditions make this necessary. In this event, the best possible alternative will be offered and a proportional refund made as appropriate.
Tour Performance Warranty: If for any reason within our control, Sunny Land Tours fails to provide any service, hotel, cruise, meal, or transportation as outlined in the final itinerary, an appropriate refund will be issued to the client upon presentation of a completed service adjustment coupon or written authorization from our overseas representatives. No claim can be considered if not made within 30 days from completion of tour.
Responsibility and Liability: Sunny Land Tours, Inc, in operating these land arrangements is responsible to the tour participants for supplying the services and accommodations offered to the participants as stated in the brochure. Sunny Land Tours, Inc., as tour operator, disclaims all liability for loss, damage or injury sustained in connection with services and accommodations provided by railroads, bus operators, local sightseeing companies, tour operators, steamship companies, airlines, hotels and lodging facilities, all operating under the laws of the country in which these
services are provided. The right to alter any land tour arrangement is reserved. Round trip flights by any IATA carrier, which cannot be held responsible for any act, omission or event during the time passengers are not on board their aircraft. Cruise tickets when issued, constitute the sole contract between the carrier and the passenger. The carriers concerned are not in any event responsible for any act, omission or event,
occurring during the time passengers are not aboard their plane, vessels or other conveyances.
IMPORTANT NOTE: All information is correct in our brochure/website as of print date of October 2006 to the best of our knowledge. Sunny Land Tours cannot be held liable for any errors or omissions that may be found in the pages of this brochure. When looking at the rates published in this brochure/website, please be reminded of the uniquness of the travel industry. Accordingly, while we will make every effort to honor the rates listed in this brochure/website, due to many factors including fluctuation in exchange rates and fuel costs, as well as load and occupancy factors influencing hotels' and airlines' yield management practices; rates can and do change time to time. Hence rates shown in this brochure/website must be perceived as a guideline. All rates are subject to change, and MUST BE RECONFIRMED WITH OUR OFFICE prior to a booking. In doing that please also always ask for DISCOUNTED DEPARTURES or LIMITED TIME SPECIALS as we may be running promotions at rates lower than what's shown in this brochure. Price
Protection Plan
Foreign currencies and their rates of exchange to the US
Dollar fluctuate daily… When dealing with the “soft”
currencies of emerging economies like the countries in South
America, changes in rates affecting sudden price increases can
and do happen overnight, forcing many companies to increase
their rates without warning. To avoid such unpleasant
surprises, we have developed an in-house Price Protection
Plan designed to protect your valuable travel investment.
For a fee of only $39 per person, paid at the time of the
booking and sent with your initial deposit, we will guarantee
all land and cruise prices featured in this brochure.
Any and all future
increases resulting from currency fluctuation will be absorbed
by us, at no additional cost to you. We feel so strongly that
$39 is a small price to pay for your peace of mind, that we
will automatically include it on your invoice.
However, should
you decide to decline this unique feature, simply note it on
your initial invoice, sign and return to us, and we will
deduct this fee from your final payment. Price Protection must
be paid with the initial deposit, and is not refundable in
case of cancellation for any reason.
