Armenia is a unitary, multi-party, democratic nation-state with an ancient cultural heritage. The Kingdom of Armenia was established in the 6th century BC, after the fall of Urartu; it became the first state in the world to adopt Christianity as its religion, in the early years of the 4th century (the traditional date is 301 AD).  The modern Republic of Armenia recognizes the Armenian Apostolic Church, the world's oldest national church, as the country's primary religious establishment. On this classical tour you will visit some of the ancient cities and their monasteries as well as the Brandy Factory and able to taste and discuss the different brandies.

A visa and valid US Passport with 7 months validity from the date of entry is required to travel to Armenia.
Visa Application



It is very easy to get an Armenian visa, fill in the attached application form and bring it along with a valid passport. Several different visas are available at Armenian ports of entry; though the most commonly issued type is a single-entry visa valid for 21 days for a fee of 3,000 Armenian Drams (about 8 USD) which may be obtained on arrival at Zvartnots International Airport or when crossing land borders into Armenia. No letter of invitation is required.

Day 1.Arrival in Yerevan. Transfer to the hotel.Time for rest. Overnight in Yerevan.

Optional: For late dinner in the restaurant the price will be 30 USD per person


Day.2 City Tour/ Dinner/ Overnight (B/L/D)

City tour in Yerevan visiting “Cascade” from where you can admire the beautiful panorama of the city dominated by Mount Ararat. Then visiting Matenadaran-Institute of Ancient Manuscripts which includes about 14.000 ancient manuscripts. Then continue our walk to the centre of the city to Abovyan street, the Republic square, blue mosk and the market. Visit also Tsitsernakaberd-the monument to the victims of Genocide of 1915. Welcome dinner. Overnight in the hotel.


Day 3.Yerevan/ Echmiatsin/ Zvartnots(B/L)

Breakfast in the hotel. Drive to Echmiatsin on the way visiting St. Hripsimeh cathedral (7th century UNESCO site). Then continue to Echmiatsin to visit the main cathedral (303 AD) which is also the residence of the Catholicos of All Armenians. Echmiatsin cathedral is the first church which was constructed by St. Gregory the Illuminator on the place where Jesus himself pointed with Golden Hammer. Return to Yerevan on the way visiting Zvartnots cathedral (7th century AD UNESCO Heritage site). Lunch. After lunch visit National History Museum and open air market-Vernissagge. Overnight in the hotel in Yerevan.


Day 4.Yerevan/Khor Virap/ Noravank/Yerevan (B/L)

Breakfast in the Hotel. Visiting Khor Virap monastery (4-17th century). From the monastery you can admire the overwhelming beauty of the Holy Mount Ararat, where according to Bible Noah’s arc descended. On the way to Noravank visit Areni wine village to taste also the wine of the region in one of the wineries. Monastery Noravank (XII-XIV) which is one of the pearls of Armenian architecture. The main church was founded by Momik-a famous architect and miniature painter. Lunch. Return to Yerevan. Overnight in the hotel.


Day 5.Yerevan/ Garni-Geghard/ Yerevan (B/L)

Breakfast in the hotel. Drive to Kotayk region to visit Geghard Monastery (4-13th cc.)which is partly hewn in the rock. Then continue to Garni pagan temple-the only pagan temple that remained in Armenia after the adoption of Christianity. Duduk concert in Garni. Both Garni and Geghard monastery are in the list of UNESCO Heritage sites. Lunch in a n Armenian house ith the participation in the process of making Lavash. Return to Yerevan. Visit Brandy factory and degustation of brandies. Overnigh in Yerevan.

Day 6.Yerevan/ Sevan/Dilijan/Yerevan(B/L)

Breakfast in the hotel. Visit the resort town Dilijan. Walking in the old part of the city which is also referred to as “The Small Switzerland ” of Armenia. Visit the two monasteries Goshavank (XII-XIII c) and Haghartsin (X-XIII). Lunch. Drive back to Yerevan via Sevan and visit also the monastery on the peninsula admiring the beauty of the “Pearl of Armenia”. Lake Sevan is considered the largest sweet water lake in the Caucasus. Drive back to Yerevan. Overnight in Hotel.


Day 7.Yerevan/ Haghpat/ Sanahin/Yerevan (B/L)

Breakfast in the Hotel. Drive to Lori province. Visit Haghpat and Sanahin monasteries (X c. UNESCO Heritage sites). Lunch in Alaverdi. Drive back to Yerevan. Leisure time. Overnight in Yerevan.
