We all returned to the USA safely with very positive memories of our trip from San Jose to Guanacaste and our stay at Dreams resort. Over all, the entire trip that you put together including hotels and their locations, vehicles, drivers, guides worked flawlessly. Of all experiences, our stay at Tabacon and Dreams resorts were exceptional. Although the location of Ficus Hotel in Monteverde was very nice, there were some inconveniences during our stay there. The internet will work in the main lobby/eating areas but will not work in the rooms. Also, there is no ac/heating in the rooms. Due to clouds, rain and elevation, the temperatures in the rooms were on a colder side causing us some minor inconvenience. We also had some issues with getting hot water in the shower. Of course, our trip would not have turned out this well if not for favourable weather. For Costa Rica, the months of May and June are the beginning of the rainy season. During our trip it rained many days but did not affect our schedules and activities. The consistent rain was mostly during the night time.
Maya and I believe that you both have done your job well and deserve our consideration should we decide any future tour.
How were the services? They were excellent. On time, professional, friendly and COVID safe
How was the Diria Hotel facilities? We loved it and would definitely go back in the future. Great location, wonderful dining and very friendly staff. If I had any suggestions at all it would be to upgrade the rooms and the gym. Both are clean and nice, just a bit dated.
Did you like Tamarindo Beach? No we did not like it, we loved it!
The Weather while you were there? Every day was the same. 90, sunny, light breeze.
Did you take any local tours during your stay? My son and I did an ATV tour on a ranch about 30 minutes from town. Had a good time. My wife and daughters did a tour of the spa and the shopping. From my credit card I can tell they loved it 😊
How was the PCR test done, ease , and cost? We bought test kits from United Airlines that we brought with us. There were signs at the airport for COVID testing that we saw.
This was the only problem. We started our testing at 7pm on the first of January since we were leaving the next day at 5:15pm. We didn’t have all of our tests done until 3AM as we had to wait for a proctor to admin the test for us so it was valid. After that it took about two hours for me to upload the results and vaccine cards to the United website. Only then could I try to confirm my boarding. Got a message that I could not check in online and had to do it at the airport. I called United and they said it was because they were using a partner airline. When we got to the airport it went fine but we still had to again show them our test results. If I had to show it at the airport anyway I would love to have those 2 hours of my vacation back that I wasted loading all the stuff online. This problem was all with the airline and had nothing to do with Costa Rica or you guys of course.
Thank you for helping us to make life long family memories.
