Mayan Inn
The design follows the colonial architecture so that no two rooms are identical. Each of the rooms and suites has its own individual décor, but they all celebrate the Spanish colonial design of centuries past with authentic antiques, art, furnishings and colorful fabrics that add a touch of charm. Smaller items were brought to Chichicastenango by mule or horseback. Larger pieces of furniture were taken by oxcart in the early 1930s.
The rooms have working fireplaces which keep away the evening chill in the mountains, but they also create a special ambiance. Each room has an attendant who takes care of the guests needs, including lighting the fireplace and knocking on the door for your wake-up call.
