WELCOME TO BOGOTA!!
Bogotá palpitates to the rhythm of the most dynamic cities. Bogotá, formerly named Bacatá, capital of the Muisca people, is the ideal destination to enjoy this program designed to be delighted by the culture and the environment of the city and its surroundings.
Santa Fe de Bogota, the capital of Colombia, is also the geographical center of the country.

The city is located 2.640 meters (8500ft) above the sea level with an average temperature about 54° F. Bogota attractions of historical and cultural interest, largely belonging to the colonial era, are concentrated in downtown Historical Center. This rich heritage includes numerous churches, museums, houses, plazas and buildings of architectural and urban interest. By tradition, the branches of government of the Nation and the city have their headquarters there.

The new Salt Cathedral, opened in 1995, carved inside a salt mine, which makes it one of a kind in the world. The cathedral is located two hours from Bogota. The Salt Cathedral is a temple built inside the salt mines of Zipaquirá in the Sabana de Bogota. It is also a religious center. Roswell Garavito Pearl is the responsible for the architectural and artistic design of the new Salt Cathedral. Inside there is a rich art collection, especially salt and marble sculptures in an atmosphere of deep religious feeling which attracts pilgrims and tourists.
