Overview
For those who don’t mind getting wet and muddy, this fascinating underground adventure will take you through a labyrinth of passages and chambers in which you will see an interesting rock formation called, “La Papaya,” stalactites, stalagmites, bats, spiders and proof that the caves were at one time at the bottom of the ocean. The caves are located only 45 minutes from La Fortuna.
Departure time: 8:00 am & 1:00 pm.
Included: Bilingual naturalist guide, rubber boots, helmet, flashlight, transportation in an A/C bus, and beverages.
What to bring: Light comfortable clothes, sandals or shoes if you don’t mind getting wet, binoculars, camera, sunscreen lotion, insect repellent, a change of clothes and a plastic bag for wet clothes. A change of clothes and a plastic bag for wet clothes.
