Itinerary
The following itinerary represents the tour sequence based on a Monday Cairo arrival. Tour sequence may vary depending on the arrival day.
Welcome to the Egyptian Capital. After customs and immigration our representatives will meet and greet you and assist with your luggage and transfer you to the Radisson Blu Hotel in Cairo. Cairo is not only the largest city in the country and the Middle East but also the second largest in Africa. Located close to the Nile Delta, its history dates back to CE 989. Locals call it Umm al-Dunya — the mother of the world.
Today, you will have a full day excursion with lunch, visiting the Pyramids of Giza and the Great Sphinx.You will drive around the Pyramid of Chephren, the Pyramid of Cheops (also known as the Great Pyramid or Khufu), and the Pyramid of Menkaure. You will have time to walk around Cheops, and take pictures. Then visit the Sphinx, the colossal one-piece sandstone man-headed lion-bodied statue. Later continue to Memphis, the capital of Old Kingdom; and then Sakkara, to visit the Step Pyramid, the first monumental stone structure in Ancient Egypt. In the afternoon, return to your hotel.
You will have a full day excursion with lunch, visiting the famous Egyptian Museum where archaeological pieces dating as far back as 3000 BC are in exhibit; where you will see the famous treasure of King Tutankhamun. You will also visit the Alabaster Mosque, the Coptic District, and the Ancient Citadel which was built in 1176. You will visit jewelry and ornament wholesalers. In the afternoon, return to your hotel.
Today check out and transfer to the Cairo Airport for the flight to Luxor (roundtrip local Egypt flights are not included in package price). On arrival in Luxor, you will be met & transferred directly to our cruise boat M/S Carnival. Features air-conditioned comfortable cabins all with panoramic windows. This afternoon, if you purchased the optional Nile Cruise shore excursions package, we will start by visiting the Luxor temple. The temple founded in 1400 BC and built from sandstone blocks brought from the south western portion of Egypt. Next, visit the Karnak temple which features a vast mix of decayed temples and chapels. Moreover, the temple also features pylons and other buildings. Return to the cruise. Tonight, your tour guide will hold an information meeting to walk you through the program. You will spend the night aboard the ship docked in Luxor.
If you purchased the optional Nile Cruise shore excursions package, your excursions today include visits to Luxor’s West bank where lies Thebes, Valley of Kings and the Collossi of Memnon.
The West Bank of Luxor contains one of the largest collections of archaeological treasures in the world. This is where you will find the famous Valley of the Kings, the breathtaking tomb of Queen Nefertari, the mortuary temples of ancient Egyptian pharaohs, and an astounding number of tombs
Later, return to the boat to wind down, we will start sailing to Esna this afternoon.
In Esna you will pass through the locks on the River Nile, for many a fun and small-scale canal-crossing experience.
Tonight, we will dock in Esna for overnight.
As you are having breakfast aboard the boat, you will sail up the Nile to Edfu.
Upon arrival in Edfu, your optional shore excursions package will have you enjoying guided visits to Edfu Temple, the beautiful preserved Horus temple. In fact, it is the best preserved of all Egyptian temples which built by the Ptolemy’s.
It’s back to cruise for lunch, while sailing to Kom Ombo. The optional shore excursions package includes a visit to the temple of Sobek the crocodile god which situated on the riverbank. Return back to the cruise which sails to Aswan, known as the land of gold.
For many,Aswan is one of the most mesmerizing towns on the Nile.
Upon arrival in Aswan, your shore excursions package includes a full day excursion starting with visits to the Temple of Philae, High Dam, and the Unfinished Obelisk and ending with a Felucca Sailing on the Nile River along the shores of Elephantine Island.
Return to the cruise for your last night on the Nile.
After breakfast, we depart in time for the flight to Cairo.
Check in for the flight back to Cairo {not included in the package price) Upon arrival in the Egyptian capital, a short transfer brings you back to your deluxe hotel, Radisson Blu Hotel & Resort. Check-in, dinner and overnight.
Transfer to the airport in time for the required check in for your international departure flight.

The M/S Nile Carnival is a modern cruise vessel with 4 suites and 68 comfortable deluxe cabins 215 sq.ft each, and 2 single cabins 145 sq.ft each. Each cabin has a Mini-bar, TV, telephone, hair dryer, individually controlled Air conditioning, and mirrors.
Our international cuisine restaurant serves all our guests in one sitting. Breakfast is always buffet, lunches are set menu, and some dinners are served as set menu and some as buffet. Quantity and quality of the food is found excellent by most of our passengers. Our chefs who earned the French National Symbol for Excellence in Food and Hospitality Services from “Les Cuisiniers et Hoteliers de Metier” provides cooking courses. Carnival has a modern lounge-bar and a sundeck with its own bar, where one can enjoy the scenery and enjoy the sun.
We have nightly entertainment on board including Belly-dancer Shows, Nubian Parties, Gallabeya (traditional Arab men’s dress wear) themes, Treasure hunts and others. But if there is any guest who does not care to participate in these social activities they can enjoy our sundeck for the night’s view or stroll in the streets of the port of calls. Located on the sun-deck, Carnival’s swimming pool is surrounded by two Jacuzzi, and we also have two whirlpools for our guests’ use.
