Overview
Sky Tram
The Sky Tram ends in a wide obsa height of 1770 meters from the water level also call the Continental Devide of waters (The mountain range that divides the waters that goes to the Atlantic or the Pacific).
You may stay as long as you wish on this area admiring the Nicoya gulf, Arenal volcano, the lake, the mountain range and the cloud forest, you may also take a short walk with our naturalist guides. This tour is a full age tour, even for people with some disability, thanks to the space of our gondolas that fit a wheelchair inside, without folding it.
Once in the top you can choose between two options, the first is to ride back down, on the Sky Tram. On the ride you will be able to notice how the vegetation varies as the altitude changes once again.
You can also opt for the more adventurous route back which is to zip your way to the bottom along the fast moving Sky Trek canopy tour zip lines, the best option for those seeking a rush of adrenaline.
Sky Walk
Half way between the town of Santa Elena and the Santa Elena Preserve the Sky Walk is located: This complex use trails, suspension bridges for a more tranquil introduction of the flora and fauna of the forest canopy, constructed within the cloud forest. It allows a vision of the forest from a different perspective which starts with a walk on the ground taking you up to explore the treetops, a hardly discovered habitat, called the “canopy” with a naturalist guide. Also discover the night wildlife at our Sky Walk Night Tour.
If you want to enjoy a complete new wildlife experience we recommend you the Sky Walk Night tour that departs at 5:00 PM. Groups can be no larger than ten people.
Until recently, little was known about life in the tops of tropical forests, as it was nearly impossible to get so high. Early explorers used ropes and pulleys or ladders carved into tree trunks to make their way up. Today, biologists explore the forest canopy using towers, suspension bridges and construction cranes.
