This is a 9-Day package combining the less traveled routes of Peru along with the most popular route of Cusco and Machu Picchu.

Visiting Lima, Trujillo,Chan Chan, Chiclayo, Sican, Sipan,Cusco, Pisac Indian Market and Ollantaytambo Fortress, and Machu Picchu.Tour Lima City and Larco Museum, fly toTrujillo, visit one of the most important centers of the ancient Moche (a pre-Inca civilization).

Visit Chiclayo and the complex of Huaca Rajada, where the intact remains of this important Mochica ruler were discovered in 1987. Continue to the Royal Tombs of Sipan Museum, rated as one of the most outstanding archaeological museums in South America. Fly back to Lima and then onto the oldest inhabited city in the hemisphere, Cusco. Drive through the fertile countryside tothe Colonial Village of Pisac.Visit the bustling marketplace with many different types of Peruvian handicrafts and jewelry.Tour the Village of Ollantaytambo.Travel by Orient Express first class Vista dome train along the Urubamba Valley to Aguas Calientes, and then up to the “Lost City of the Incas.”

Itinerary

Arrival at Jorge Chavez Lima airport, meet and transfer to the hotel per respective category selected. Overnight in Lima.

Day 02 :
Day 2 Lima

Afternoon tour of Modern and Colonial Lima including the world famous Larco Museum – This half-day tour visits both the colonial and modern sections of Lima. Colonial sites include the lovely Plaza Mayor, the Government Palace, San Francisco Church and the exquisite Torre Tagle Palace modern day seat of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In modern Lima, drive along the exclusive residential areas of Miraflores and San Isidro. Later visit the Larco Museum, Late afternoon transfer to airport for your flight to Trujillo, arrive and overnight. (B)

Breakfast at your hotel. Visit one of the most important centers of the ancient Moche (a pre-Inca civilization). Experience the amazing adobe engineering of the Temple of the Sun, at a height of 157 ft., which is estimated to have involved over 200,000 workers in its construction and over 140 million adobe bricks. Steps away is the Temple of the Moon. Continue with the visit to Chan Chan, the former capital of Chimu Empire. From Chan Chan you will visit the seashore village of Huanchaco,known for its totora seahorses – a typical small reed boat used for fishing. Lunch is included. (B,L)

Breakfast at your hotel. Transfer to Chiclayo. Visit the complex of Huaca Rajada, where the intact remains of this important Mochica ruler were discovered here in 1987. Continue to the Royal Tombs of Sipan Museum, rated as one of the most outstanding archaeological museums in South America. Continue to the Sican Museum, opened on November 2001, it is dedicated to scientific research of the Sican culture as well as to protect the material remains of this culture known for their skills in metallurgy. Lunch is included. (B-L)

Breakfast at your hotel. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Lima to connect to a short but spectacular flight over the snow capped Andes to the oldest inhabited city in the hemisphere, Cusco, at an elevation of 11,440 feet. Arrive in Cusco and transfer to your hotel.Free afternoon to let your body adjust to altitude. Tonight you will enjoy a dinner and show in Cusco. (B,D)

Breakfast at your hotel. Morning departure for a drive through the fertile countryside to the Colonial Village of Pisac. During your visit to the bustling marketplace you will have the opportunity to bargain with the natives for many different types of Peruvian handicrafts and jewelry. After lunch the tour continues to the Village of Ollantaytambo for a visit to its impressive Incan fortress. In the afternoon return to Cusco. Lunch is at a beautiful country estate on the shores of the Urubamba River. (B,L)

Early breakfast at your hotel. Today you will enjoy a full Day Excursion to Machu Picchu. Travel by Orient Express first class Vista dome train (with panoramic-windows) along the Urubamba Valley to Aguas Calientes, and then up to the “Lost City of the Incas.” Guided tour of the ruins upon arrival. Lunch is at the Orient Express Sanctuary Lodge, located just a few steps from the Inca citadel. In the afternoon return to Cusco. (B,L)

Day 08 :
Day 8 Cusco

Breakfast at your hotel. Free morning. This afternoon’s tour of the oldest continuously inhabited city in the western hemisphere includes important landmarks of enchanting Cusco and also the nearby ruins of Kenko, Puca-pucara, Tambomachay as well as the Sacsayhuaman fortress. Once the center of the Inca civilization, Cusco is a delightful combination of Inca and colonial architecture. During the tour, you will visit Cusco’s Cathedral, Santo Domingo Church, Plaza de Armas and Koricancha, The Temple of the Sun. (B)

Breakfast at your hotel. Transfer from hotel to the airport for your flight to Lima to connect to your flight home. Or if you are on a late night flight, we will offer the following activities until transfer time: Visit the Gold Museum + Lunch at the beautiful country estate from the XVIII Century, Casa Hacienda Moreyra. Transfer from hotel to the airport for your late flight to home. (B/L)
